Stockholm, Sweden 2012-2014
The largest shopping mall in the Nordic Countries was one of the most significant steel design projects for us. We were responsible for calculating the steel frames for two steel sections, and producing the building project implementation plan. The object comprised a total of 7 separate installation blocks and the complete building had a floor area in excess of 100,000m2. The building frame consists chiefly of composite beams and the cavity slabs are supported by WQ-beams. Concrete walls and shaft structures are used as additional reinforcement. The steel structures for the object were delivered by Ruukki Construction Oy, a construction element design client of ours. The object contains 4,590 tonnes of steel.
