Valmet is delivering the gasifier and the surrounding service platforms to a waste incineration plant in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Teracon has been responsible for the design of the galvanized steel frame and service platforms. The building’s height is 32m. A remarkable amount of construction parts and service platforms have been fitted into the 16m x 14m sized building area.
The primary design challenge was the power plant’s location in the windy coastal area of the Netherlands, which significantly affected the construction solutions viable for the project.
